The rooms are stunning, the 1902 Restaurant is a full-on experience, and the infinity pool overlooking the river is one of the best I’ve seen in Egypt. Even if you’re not staying here, sunset cocktails or afternoon tea are totally worth the splurge.

If you’re looking for peaceful, budget-friendly accommodation in Aswan, Nubian Soul Guest Houses is a true gem. Tucked away on Elephantine Island, this welcoming guesthouse opened in late 2024, so everything still feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed.

The rooms are simple but super comfortable, with firm beds, ceiling fans, and inverter ACs. Some even have small balconies! A generous breakfast is included, and you can pre-order dinner or early breakfast boxes if you’re heading to Abu Simbel.

Getting there is easy—a quick 10 LE boat ride from the mainland, followed by a short walk. The rooftop is a lovely place to relax, and the host, Mahmoud, is incredibly helpful with arranging transport, tours, and anything else you might need during your stay.

13. Go In Backpackers

This is hands down one of the best Aswan hotels for backpackers—and honestly, one of my personal favorite budget stays in town. Go In Backpackers has a chill, social vibe without tipping into full-on party hostel territory, which I really appreciated.

There aren’t privacy curtains (which I usually look for!), but the Nile views and golden sunset vibes from the rooftop totally make up for it. The terrace is always buzzing with friendly travelers, and the atmosphere is super welcoming and relaxed.

You can rent kayaks for about 200 EGP to explore the nearby islands, and they also organize affordable trips to Abu Simbel and Philae Temple. It’s clean, budget-friendly, and full of heart.
