First up, Hollywood! Once you scan your ticket and walk through the gates, you’ll step right into the iconic land of Hollywood. This area is more about shopping and dining than rides, but it’s a great place to start your day.
Grab a coffee at Starbucks, hit up Mel’s Drive-In for some classic diner experience, or check out the Universal Studio Store and the Minions shop.

1. Trolls Hug Time Jubilee
As I mentioned, Hollywood doesn’t have a ton of rides, but it does have the Pantages Hollywood Theatre. Right now, they’re showing “Trolls Hug Time Jubilee.” It’s an interactive show featuring Queen Poppy and Branch search for the next singing star.
I skipped this one since it’s more for kids, but if you’re a Trolls fan or have kids with you, definitely check it out.
Pro Tip: Show schedules change often, so check the latest lineup when you visit. You might find a show that’s perfect for you!

Right after you leave Hollywood, you’ll find yourself in New York! This area, located right across from the Pantages Hollywood Theater, feels just like the Big Apple. You’ll see a replica of the New York Public Library, classic brick buildings, and those iconic yellow taxis.
2. Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase
First up, you can’t miss the Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase with its huge facade. This gentle, dark ride takes you on an adventure with Elmo and friends to stop Macaroni the Merciless from stealing all of Earth’s spaghetti.
While it’s not a thrill ride, the music and special effects are fantastic, and you’ll get to see all your favorite Sesame Street characters. I was obsessed with this show as a kid, and it’s still a lot of fun.
Perfect for families with little ones, but honestly, I enjoyed it a lot too.
3. Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg
Just across the street, you’ll find Lights, Camera, Action! hosted by Steven Spielberg. The pre-show features Spielberg himself explaining movie special effects before you step into a boat warehouse set.
Inside, you’ll experience a level five hurricane hitting New York City, complete with fire, wind, and water. This is a must-see attraction at Universal Studios, and I’d give it a solid 10/10. Just be ready to get wet!

Right around the corner from New York is Sci-Fi City, a unique part of Universal Studios Singapore.

4. Transformers: The Ride 3D
One of my absolute favorite rides at Universal Studios Singapore is Transformers: The Ride 3D. You get to join forces with Optimus Prime in this amazing simulator to battle the Decepticons.
The effects are incredibly realistic—you’ll feel the heat, wind, and sudden drops. It’s thrilling but not too scary. I rode it three times and still wanted more!
To avoid long queues, one of the top Universal Studios Singapore tips is to get an express pass or use the single rider line. It will save you so much time!

5. Accelerator
Next to Transformers is Accelerator, which is like a supercharged teacup ride. It spins you around at dizzying speeds, making you feel like you’re in a space battle.

6. Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon
The star attractions of Sci-Fi City—and maybe the whole park—are the Battlestar Galactica dueling coasters: Human and Cylon.
These high-speed coasters are some of the best in Southeast Asia, and even though they’re side by side, they offer totally different experiences.
- Human Coaster (Red Track): This one’s a traditional seated ride that’s smoother with no inversions, but it still hits speeds over 90 km/h.
- Cylon Coaster (Blue Track): This one’s a suspended ride where your legs dangle free. It’s packed with aggressive loops, corkscrews, and a cobra roll. I screamed the whole time on this one!
I recommend starting with Human to warm up, then tackling Cylon. Queues can be long, so make these your first stop in your Universal Studios Singapore itinerary.
Bonus Tip: There isn’t a single rider line available, and you’ll need to store your belongings in a locker before joining the queue, which means you won’t have access to your phone either.
Universal Studios Singapore Rides in Ancient Egypt
Moving on to Ancient Egypt. As the name implies, this section take you back to the golden age of Egyptian exploration in the 1930s.
Despite its impressive, can’t-miss facades, Ancient Egypt features just two Universal Studios Singapore rides inspired by the Mummy franchise. But let me tell you, they’re both absolute must-visits!
7. Revenge of the Mummy
One of the best rides at Universal Studios Singapore is Revenge of the Mummy, a high-speed indoor roller coaster that’s mostly in the dark.
It starts off slow but quickly picks up speed, even going backward at one point. With no major drops or loops, it’s thrilling without being overly scary. Honestly, the line’s decorations and effects are creepier than the ride itself!
In my opinion, the Singapore version outshines those in Orlando or Tokyo. Don’t skip this iconic attraction on your Universal Studios Singapore itinerary!
8. Treasure Hunters
The other main attraction in Ancient Egypt is Treasure Hunters. It’s a slow-moving vintage car ride that takes you through an abandoned excavation site filled with animatronic creatures and Egyptian artifacts.
It’s perfect for families with kids, offering nice views of the park and the lake. That said, the lines can get pretty long. For me, if it’s over 20 minutes, I’d think twice about waiting.

As you continue around the park, you’ll enter The Lost World, mostly dedicated to Jurassic Park. It’s one of the biggest areas at Universal Studios Singapore, so there’s plenty to explore.
It’s also home to some of the best Universal Studios Singapore rides and the famous Waterworld show.
9. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure
Unlike other Universal Studios parks where Jurassic Park is a boat ride, here it’s a full-on river rapids adventure. You’ll come face-to-face with giant dinosaurs and get plenty of chances to get soaked, especially with the epic final drop that’ll have you screaming.
Pro Tip: Bring a raincoat or prepare to get drenched! I didn’t, and I got soaked—but it was totally worth it!
10. Canopy Flyer
The Canopy Flyer is a suspended roller coaster that gives you a bird’s-eye view of The Lost World. It’s a fun family ride with great views of the park—exciting but not too intense. It’s a quick ride, so definitely hop on if the wait isn’t too long.
11. Dino-Soarin’
Within Jurassic Park, you’ll find Dino-Soarin’, a flat ride where you control the height of your dinosaur as it spins around. While it’s not one of my favorite rides at Universal Studios Singapore, kids seem to love it—they’ll feel like they’re flying!
12. Waterworld
Finally, you can’t miss the iconic Waterworld show. It’s hands down one of the best stunt shows I’ve ever seen. The effects and stunts are incredible—people flying through the air, a guy on fire, and tons of water splashing everywhere.
Different seating zones show how wet you’ll get during the show. If you don’t want to get soaked, avoid the “Soaked” zone.
Heads Up: Depending on the season, there might be only one showtime, so get there at least 30 minutes early to grab a good seat.

Finally, we’re heading to Far Far Away, the magical land straight out of the DreamWorks Shrek movies.
You’ll walk through scenes from the films, like the Far Far Away Castle, and meet all your favorite characters. This area has some of the best Universal Studios Singapore rides for kids.
13. Shrek 4-D Adventure
First up is the Shrek 4-D Adventure, a must-do. Set in Lord Farquaad’s massive castle, this 4-D movie ride takes you along with Shrek and Donkey on a mission to save Princess Fiona from Lord Farquaad’s ghost.
The 4-D effects—like water sprinkles and moving seats—make you feel like you’re in the movie. It’s super fun and perfect for Shrek fans of all ages.
14. Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey
Next is Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey, a suspended roller coaster where you join Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws on their quest to steal golden eggs from the Giant’s castle.
