Hi, I’m Vega—a solo female traveler, recovering lawyer, and the face behind Her Asian Adventures. A few years ago, I swapped my corporate job in Spain for a one-way ticket to Asia, and honestly? I haven’t looked back since.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing, though—I had no idea what I was doing. I’d never been to Asia, knew next to nothing about the continent, and definitely couldn’t afford a fancy travel agency to guide me.

So, I did what any Type-A planner would do: I spiraled into hours of scrolling through social media, reading travel blogs, and researching everything from budget flights and hidden gems to whether solo travel as a woman was even safe. Spoiler alert: it is, and it’s amazing!

Fun Facts About Me

Because who doesn’t love a little oversharing?

• I love planning trips almost as much as taking them. Seriously, give me a spreadsheet and an itinerary to obsess over, and I’m in my happy place.
• Hopeless in the kitchen, but I try. I sign up for cooking classes everywhere I travel. Did I master pad thai in Bangkok? Nope. Did I eat every bite anyway? Absolutely.
• I’ve always been a bookworm. I once read 40 books in one summer—so yeah, law school probably made way too much sense at the time.
• Dogs terrify me. No idea why, but I’m working on it. In the meantime, I admire them from a safe distance.
• My ultimate goal? Visit every country in Asia—and then take on the rest of the world.
